Announcement

Something about this sunny day makes me want to shout about all the fun announcements in my life!

I am pregnant and expecting a girl in late August or early September and I'm so excited. I always take joy in reaching this point in my pregnancy too, where I've attained enough weeks that the baby's survival rate starts to climb above zero, if there were some need for her to be born early.

Our family will have an interesting dynamic with Elsa turning 8 just before this baby is born and Joshy being 4. I always thought I'd have my children 2 years apart each, but sometimes life just doesn't work that way and I'm ok with that.

Baby girl is so lucky to have had 3 first cousins born within the same calendar year. First Cole, who will be 1 in September, then Jude in December and Nina in January. I have GREAT plans for their friendships. Plus, it can't hurt to have a girl cousin in the same class. Can you say college roommate? Maid of honor? Best friends for LIFE??? I hope so. And we're also picking up a new 2nd cousin, the day after I give birth. God's timing is so amazing.

We are looking forward to a great summer of enjoying just 2 kids before our family grows and have plans for camping and a coast trip and then just before our baby is born (hopefully) my baby brother Joey is getting married. And I mean hopefully my baby will be born after, not hopefully he's getting married. Homeboy is definitely getting married.

What are your big plans this summer?

Post edit: Stefanie and I are due within one day of eachother and both plan on c-sections, which we will each schedule one week prior to our due dates. Thus the knowledge that they'll most likely be born on consecutive days.
