Never have I ever been so grateful that 30 years ago some guys in Eugene fooled around with a waffle iron and created Nike, as I was on March 8th at the Clash of the Champion's at the new Matthew Knight arena. The facility itself is an absolute marvel, built with Nike money in honor of Phil Knight's late son. A tennis hardcourt was flown in and assembled and a few of my best buddies were invited to come give an exhibition of world class tennis. 
Here are two of them. Hey guys! It's me Jill! I watch you on TV all the time and I don't know if I've ever told you this before but I LOVE YOU! (Victoria Azarenka and Rafael Nadal, known affectionately to me as Vika and Rafa, the Spanish Stallion. We're very close.) 
And on the other side, just to make things fair, we have Maria Sharapova and Roger Federer. Hey guys! Hi five! Chest bump! LOVE YOU! 
Roger thinks it's funny to sneak up to the net on his hands and knees while his partner is serving. That Roger is such a joker!
After the mixed doubles set, the boys took the gloves off and started in on eachother in earnest. They were so close that I could see Roger's Rolex Oyster watch. I wonder if Rafa had his Armani's on? 
See the watch? I gave him that on his last birthday. Ol' Rog must have known I would like to see him wear it!
All of us are Duck fans too, that's how close of friends we all are. Roger, Vika, Maria, Phil, Jonny Mac, Rafa the Spanish Stallion, and the Duck. I'm sort of tucked in there between the Duck and Rafa so it's hard to see me, but I really had a great time!

That night was so fun! Except I was worried that Nina would burst out crying at some terribly inopportune moment (e.g. Roger serving! ha). For some reason, I'd forgotten that you have to be so quiet during tennis matches and about 30 minutes into the game I was wondering why had I brought Nina again?! Luckily she stayed quiet and slept in my arms for most of it. Whew!
