Here is that classic picture of the first day of school. Elsa has declared this day to be the most exciting time of her life! She's got a new shirt on, school supplies in her backpack and excitement in her belly. Josh was very concerned that we should not leave her by herself, but we had to. She found a little girl in her class that she's met before from our neighborhood (what a relief!) I only got choked up, but did not shed actual tears due to the timely studying of a chart on the wall. I'm sure the kids wouldn't have had a clue what to do with me or themselves if I had started to cry.
